Talk about beef and most of meat lovers are already salivating. Imagine the appetizing aroma that will come out from your kitchen when you start cooking this stew. Several tested beef stew recipes will send your mouth watering. It is always wise to do research on what is available and put it to test. By the time, you exhaust all the recipes present; you would become a professional chef ready to contest for the hell’s kitchen, even without going through any training. Incase you are wondering what in the world what this is all about, it only means that it is almost impossible to do all the recipes available as they keep on adding new ones.

Here are a few recipes that one can use to prepare right in your kitchen. They include the roasted garlic beef stew, the old fashion with winter vegetables, the ginger and tomato beef short rib and the Irish stew among others. What one should note is that these stews have different ingredients that constitute them in order to be what they are but the main component is obviously beef. Since it would not be possible to exhaust explaining how people make all of them, the only recipe analyzed is the Irish beef stew.

The ingredients include, 3tablespoon olive oil, 2tablespoon parsley, 10cloves of crushed garlic, 425ml red wine, 1tbspoon thyme, 18 whole mushrooms, 12 onions small sizes, salt and black pepper, 175g bacon cut in strips, 11/2kg beef chopped into cubes, 3carrots cut quarterly, alternately 12 small size carrots washed and left uncut, 425ml beef or chicken stock 50g butter and 50gflour. With these constituents ready, you may be ready to put one of the most the aromatic beef stew recipes into action.

Using a heavy saucepan heat, the olive oil then put bacon plus beef and heat until they turn brown then remove from the pan. Put in the mushrooms, carrots and onions one at a time as you add seasoning. Return the meat back into the pot adding the garlic and the aromatic plant then add the beef stock/chicken plus red wine letting them to cook under very low temperature for one hour. Take another pan and heat butter and flour for a period of two minutes. Once the vegetables and the meat cook well, remove them and leave the soup. Heat the soup, add a tablespoon of the heated butter and flour mixture, and stir until it thickens then return the meat and the vegetables tasting. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with a romantic accompaniment.

After preparing this wonderful delicacy, all that you are to do is to put it to the test and it definitely leaves you leaking your fingers with satisfaction. One can take this great stew at any time of the day. If there is any left over, you may take it in the next mealtime. Why not give these beef stew recipes a go and satisfy your appetite for meat. Next time you would choose another recipe and they are equally yummy.

Chinese food is a great way to expand your personal recipe book, especially if you love to use simple, fresh ingredients with quick cooking time. These top ten dishes are famous all over the world, and are must-haves in your collection of Chinese food recipes.

Fried Rice – A must have dish in Chinese restaurants, fried rice is the ultimate Chinese food, and can be one of the most flexible in your cookbook because you can use leftover rice and ingredients to make it. Of course, you can use fresh ingredients but it’s best to use rice that has been kept in the fridge overnight for best results. Ingredients usually involved in making fried rice are eggs, scallions, diced meat of either beef, chicken or pork, ham, shrimps and vegetables such as celery, peas, carrots, bean sprouts and corn. There are many varieties of fried rice but the more popular ones are the Yangchow and Fujian fried rice.

Kung Pao Chicken – Kung Pao chicken or Kung Po chicken is a Chinese dish from Szechuan cuisine and is considered to be a delicacy. The recipe for this mouth watering dish commonly calls for diced chicken that is pre-seasoned and quickly stir-fried with unsalted roasted peanuts, red bell peppers, rice wine or sherry, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, and chili peppers. Alternatively, you can use prawn, scallops, beef or pork in place of the chicken.

Moo Shu Pork – This is a dish of northern Chinese origin and a favorite of many. Ingredients in a Mu Xu pork recipe often include green cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, scrambled eggs, carrots, bean sprouts, day lily buds and scallions. Celery, onions, bell peppers, snow pea pods, bok choy and Shiitake mushrooms are occasionally used. The vegetables are cut into long and thin strips before cooking, with the exception for bean sprouts and day lily buds. Fried Mu Xu pork is then wrapped in moo shu pancakes that is brushed with hoisin sauce and eaten by hand. Moo shu pancakes are thin wrappers made of flour that is easily available in supermarkets and steamed just before eating.

General Tso’s Chicken – General Tso’s chicken is a Hunan dish that tastes spicy and sweet and very popular in Chinese restaurants in America and Canada where it’s often marked as a “chef’s specialty”. General Tso’s Chicken recipe commonly involves battered chicken deep-fried and marinated with hot chili peppers, scallions, sugar, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic and ginger.

Egg Rolls – Egg rolls are one of the most popular Chinese foods, and for good reason. This savory roll is made by wrapping a combination of chopped cabbage and meats and sometimes noodles in a sheet of dough. It is then dipped in egg and deep fried to perfection. Egg rolls are generally bigger in size than its cousin spring roll, its skin is thicker and crunchier; and have more filling.

Fortune Cookies – Chinese cooking would simply not be complete without the addition of a recipe for fortune cookies. The ingrediesnts you need to make these treats are some sugar, flour, eggs and vanilla extract, making them a simple way to add some fun to your home cooked Chinese food.

Orange Chicken – This appetizing Chinese dish is made of chicken chopped into bite size pieces and battered, and then fried with thick sweet and spicy chili sauce flavored with orange. The traditionally Chinese recipe for orange peel chicken as it’s sometimes called, is to deep fry the chicken first and then stir fry it in a lightly sweet soy-based sauce flavored with dried orange peels. Vegetables like baby carrots and bok choy are used as the garnishing. However, cooks in Western restaurants do not use dried orange peel but rather orange juice or fresh orange peel and a substantial amount of sugar to make the sauce. Chili peppers and steamed broccoli are used as garnishing instead.

Sweet and Sour Pork – This savory-sweet famous Chinese dish is of Cantonese origin. It is a good dish to prepare when you are planning on having guests, who will be wildly impressed with your cooking skill. As with other Chinese food recipes, the key to making a great Sweet and Sour Pork dish is in the sauce made of sugar, ketchup, white vinegar, and soy sauce. Its ingredients include pork, onion, bell pepper and pineapple chopped into bite size pieces.

Mapo Dofu – Mapo doufu or Mapo tofu is a popular Chinese dish from the Szechuan province. Ingredients used for this recipe include tofu or beancurd, and minced beef or pork cooked in a bright red spicy sauce based on chili.

Chop Suey – Chop suey or “za sui” or “shap sui” literally means ‘mixed pieces’ is an American-Chinese dish usually employs leftover vegetables and meats stir fried quickly in a sauce thickened with starch. It is a great dish when you need to use up the last of yesterday’s chicken or pork roast and can incorporate meats of any kind such as pork, shrimp, beef, fish or chicken and various vegetables from bean sprouts to cabbage and celery. Chop Suey is often eaten with rice.

Children are not easy to feed. They usually pass a stage when all they want are junk foods, fried chicken, hotdog—processed foods you’ll find in supermarkets and fast food chains. The problem is, much as they enjoy these foods, they’re dangerous to your children’s health. The challenge to all parents like you is to prepare delicious and nutritious food for your kids. And in most instances, squeezing cooking time in your daily schedule isn’t at all easy. What you’ll need are the right healthy recipes that are both delicious and easy to prepare.

Yes, there are recipes that combine all three characteristics—quick preparation, good nutrient content, and great taste—and your kids will surely love the food.

Kid-Friendly Snacks

Although you may think that snacks are of little value compared to the main meals—breakfast, dinner, lunch—what your kids snack on are actually crucial to their health. Snacks are usually taken anytime of the day: when kids are watching television, after playing, or whenever they feel like eating. Without close monitoring, your kids can easily grab junk foods and unhealthy meals during these times. The key to controlling this is to prepare delicious treats for your kids with the help of healthy recipes.

Believe it or not, there are some nutritious treats that you can prepare with no effort at all. Just take a look at the following:

• Smoothies. Instead of the usual ice cream or artificial drinks from the supermarket, why don’t you make these delicious treats out of fresh fruits? With the use of a blender, all you need is to toss in some fruits, milk, juice, or yogurt, and then press the blend button. In no time at all, your kids will enjoy a delicious and nutritious shake.

• Jelly. All that you will need to prepare this snack are gelatin and fruit juice, plus other extras you might want to add like yogurt, fruits, etc. The preparation only involves simple cooking of the gelatin, some mixing and pouring, and then the refrigerating of the finished jelly for that wonderful taste. This is a typical favorite among kids.

• Home-made popsicle. Well, this is a no-brainer snack, and even your kids can prepare it. All you’ll need is a fruit juice or fruit shake that you pour into a mold. Next thing you must do is put the stick on the mold and then place it in your freezer. Once it’s frozen, your kid will have an instant healthy popsicle!

• Nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. Instead of the usual chips, these are healthy alternatives. Plus, they need no preparation at all. Just be sure that you don’t add salt on the nuts and seeds.

With all these ideas, you’ll have no problem keeping your kids healthy while they enjoy the food they eat. And for a lot more kid-friendly and healthy recipes for your diet, you can find more information in cookbooks and online sites. They’ll help your kids and your family stay healthy.
